Privacy policy

Effective 16 October 2026.

This policy describes the Cornerman iOS app and this website as they work today. It does not name a separate legal entity or a mailing address. Privacy questions go to robert@threethreedigital.com.

Who this is about

Cornerman is a quit tracker for alcohol, cannabis, and vaping. You can use it alone. You can also add people you choose. This policy covers the app and the public pages on www.cornermantracker.com. The website does not ask you to create an account.

Information you provide

  • Account email and password. The password is handled by the authentication service. The app does not keep a copy of the password in its own tables.
  • An optional display name, and an optional gender selection, on your profile.
  • Quit goals: the substance, the quit date, and later counts you start.
  • Daily check-ins: the local date, a mood, how hard cravings are hitting, optional triggers, and an optional note.
  • Private reasons and private journal entries.
  • People you add, crews you join, invitation codes you create, messages, reactions, and blocks.
  • Sharing choices for each person or crew.
  • Optional feedback you send from the app.

Check-in notes, reasons, journal entries, and craving strength are private. They are not part of the sharing controls.

Information created as you use the app

  • Day counts and milestones are calculated from the quit dates and counts you save.
  • If you allow notifications, the app can store a device token so it can send a generic “new message” alert. That alert does not include the message text. A local daily check-in reminder can also be scheduled on the phone.
  • The app keeps a sign-in session on the device.

What other people can see

Nothing about your quit is shared until you turn a setting on. You choose separately, for one person or for one crew:

  • Whether you checked in today. Not the note.
  • The mood you picked today.
  • Your current day count. From that number, someone can roughly tell when the current count started.
  • Milestones you have reached, such as 30 days. Not the calendar date.
  • For a crew only, which substances you are tracking. Not your reasons.

People in a direct chat or a crew chat can read the messages sent while they are part of that conversation. Reactions are visible to the same people. There is no leaderboard and no ranking.

Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets can stay discreet. Substance names stay off unless you turn that option on. Widgets are not given your notes, reasons, or journal.

This website

The marketing site does not use an analytics or advertising tracker, and it does not set a cookie banner because it does not run those tools. It does not collect email addresses. Hosting logs may exist at the website host. This draft does not claim a retention period for those logs.

Service providers

  • Supabase hosts the account database and authentication. The Cornerman project is in the US East region.
  • Resend sends authentication email, including sign-up and password-reset messages, from accounts@mail.cornermantracker.com. That address only sends mail. It is not the support inbox.
  • Apple provides the phone, and later the App Store listing. Notification delivery can involve Apple.
  • Vercel hosts this website. The website is not connected to the account database.

No independent audit of those providers is claimed here. Cornerman does not offer end-to-end encryption for messages, journals, or check-ins. Data is sent to the app’s servers over HTTPS.

How long information stays

Account information stays until you delete the account or the operator deletes it. Deleting the account asks for your password, checks that you signed in with that password recently, and then deletes the authentication user. Most personal rows are removed with that user because the database uses cascading deletes.

Deletion does not claim that backups, host logs, email-provider copies, or every related record disappear at the same moment. A crew you created can be kept for the people who remain, with ownership moved, rather than erased with your account. A retention schedule has not been set.

Your choices

  • Turn sharing off at any time, per person or per crew.
  • Edit or delete your own reasons and journal entries.
  • Leave a crew. Your own counts, journal, and check-ins stay with you.
  • Block someone. That stops a direct connection.
  • Turn notification permission off in iOS settings.
  • Delete the account from Account, after entering your password and confirming.

Children

Cornerman is written for adults. The current app does not include an age check. If you believe a child’s information was submitted, email robert@threethreedigital.com.

People outside the United States

The account database is in the United States. If you use Cornerman from somewhere else, your information is handled there. To ask about your information, email robert@threethreedigital.com.

Changes

This policy is effective 16 October 2026. If it changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
