Legal
Terms of service
Effective 16 October 2026.
These terms were not written or reviewed by an attorney. They do not name a legal entity, a physical address, or a governing state. Cornerman does not currently sell subscriptions or take payments, so there are no price, renewal, or refund terms.
The service
Cornerman is a personal quit tracker for alcohol, cannabis, and vaping, with optional messaging among people you choose to add. It is peer support and a tracker. It is not medical care, counseling, detox, or an emergency service.
Who can use it
The app is aimed at adults. It does not currently verify age. A minimum age and a process for a younger person’s account are not set. Email the contact below if that comes up.
You need an email address and a password of at least 8 characters. You are responsible for that password and for what happens through your account.
How to use it
- Give accurate enough account information to sign in.
- Do not use Cornerman to harass, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
- Do not try to break into another account, probe the service, or overload it.
- Do not send unlawful content in messages.
Messages and reactions are visible to the people in that chat. You can block someone. Blocking is not a promise that earlier copies of a message disappear from the other person’s device.
Your content
You keep what you write: check-ins, reasons, journal entries, and messages. You give the operator permission to store and show that content so the app can work, including showing a message to the people in that conversation. These terms do not take ownership of your journal or your reasons.
No medical advice
Nothing in the app or on this website is a diagnosis, treatment plan, or instruction to stop or start a substance. Withdrawal can be dangerous. If you might be in danger, contact local emergency services or a doctor. In the United States you can call or text 988, or call the SAMHSA National Helpline at 1-800-662-4357. Cornerman does not operate those services.
Availability
The app and website can be interrupted, changed, or stopped. Counts and reminders are tools, not a guarantee that a day was recorded if the phone was offline or a save failed.
Ending an account
You can delete your account in the app after entering your password and confirming. The operator can also suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts someone at risk. Deletion removes the authentication user and the personal rows tied to that user. It may leave a crew in place for the members who remain.
Backup copies and provider logs are not promised to vanish immediately. See the privacy policy.
Disclaimers and liability
These terms do not set a damages cap. The app is offered as it is, without a promised health outcome, and the operator is not your clinician.
Governing law
No state, country, or court is selected in these terms.
